A 7-Week Meditation Course
Week beginning 19th October 2026 till week beginning 30th November 2026
Why do we become angry, frustrated, stressed or upset? Why do small problems sometimes grow into major sources of unhappiness? According to Buddhist wisdom, our real problems do not come from difficult people or challenging situations but from the disturbed states of mind that arise within us.
In this practical and insightful 7-week course based on the book How to Solve Our Human Problems by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, we will learn how to recognise anger in all its forms and discover practical methods for developing patience, inner strength and lasting peace of mind.
As Geshe Kelsang Gyatso explains:
“If we practise the patience of voluntarily accepting suffering, we can maintain a peaceful mind even when experiencing suffering and pain.”
Throughout the course we will explore:
• Identifying our real human problems – understanding inner and outer problems and the role of delusions
• Recognising anger in our own mind and its many manifestations, including stress, irritability, resentment and depression
• Understanding the faults of anger and how it robs us of our peace of mind
• Learning how anger develops from frustrated desires and exaggerated unpleasant feelings
• Practical methods for developing patience in daily life
• Understanding the stages in the development of delusions
• Bringing all these teachings together to create lasting positive change
These timeless teachings offer practical solutions to the challenges of modern life and can help us respond to difficulties with greater wisdom, confidence and compassion.
Each class includes two guided meditations and an inspiring talk and is suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators.
Duration: 7 weeks
