A 7-Week Meditation Course

Week beginning 12th April till week beginning 24th May 2027

Meditation is becoming increasingly popular as people discover its benefits for reducing stress, improving wellbeing and developing greater peace of mind. Yet many people are unsure what meditation actually is, how it works or how to practise it effectively.

This practical 7-week course is designed to help you develop a clear understanding of meditation and learn how to make it part of your daily life. Based on the teachings of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the course will provide step-by-step guidance in both meditation and mindfulness, helping you develop a calmer, happier and more positive mind.

As Geshe Kelsang Gyatso teaches:

“Meditation is the method to make our mind calm and peaceful.”

Throughout the course we will explore:

• Why inner peace is the foundation for lasting happiness

• What meditation is and how it transforms the mind

• Different types of meditation and how to practise them

• How to prepare for meditation and overcome common difficulties

• Developing concentration, focus and mental clarity

• Using mindfulness and awareness in everyday life

• How to maintain a positive and peaceful state of mind between meditation sessions

By the end of the course, you will have a practical understanding of how meditation works and the confidence to continue developing your own meditation practice.

Each class includes two guided meditations and an inspiring talk. No previous experience is necessary and everyone is welcome.
