Christmas can be a wonderful time, but it can also become overwhelming. We place huge expectations on ourselves, our families and our circumstances, which can easily lead to stress, disappointment and emotional tension.

On this half day course learn practical methods to stay peaceful and balanced during the festive season. By learning to let go of unrealistic expectations and developing a calmer mind, we can genuinely enjoy our time with others and make Christmas meaningful rather than stressful.

You will learn:

Why not make a day of it? Following the course, you are warmly invited to stay for a delicious homemade three-course Thai meal, lovingly prepared from scratch by our volunteer team. Enjoy good food, good company and a chance to relax and unwind before heading home. Places for the meal are available for an additional charge when booking.

The teacher of this course is Gen Kelsang Lhachog – Gen Lhachog is the Resident Teacher at Uma Kadampa Meditation Centre. She teaches with warmth, clarity and kindness, making Buddha’s teachings practical and easy to apply in daily life. Through her gentle manner and sincere example she helps people discover how to develop inner peace and happiness amidst the busyness of modern life.

All our half day courses start at 10am and run until about 1.30pm. The meal will start around 1.30pm


The half day course cost £15 per person which includes refreshments. There is an additional costs of £20 for the three course meal.
