All living beings have the same basic wish to be happy and avoid suffering, but very few people understand the real causes of happiness and suffering. Happiness and suffering are states of mind and so their causes cannot be found outside the mind. The real source of happiness is inner peace. In our attempt to control the world we live in we often suffer from stress, anger and unhappiness.
On this half day course we will learn to let go and then we can develop a calm peaceful mind and experience a lasting happiness free from problems.
The teacher of this half day course is Gen Kelsang Chokyong – Chokyong has been the resident teacher at Odiyana Kadampa Meditation Centre since 2001. He teaches with great humility and humour. He presents Buddha’s teachings in a practical and down to earth manner, making them accessible to everyone.
All our half day courses start at 10am (so please arrive by 9.50am) and run until about 1.30pm.
They cost £10 per person which includes refreshments.
