Odiyana Centre provides meditation classes in Northwich, teaching basic meditation and the practice of Kadampa Buddhism. The purpose of these classes is to help people to gain personal experience of inner peace, to overcome their daily problems, and to find real happiness in their hearts.

Gen Kelsang Dema is the resident teacher at Odiyana Kadampa Meditation Centre. Gen Kelsang Dema is a highly respected teacher within the New Kadampa Tradition. With many years of dedicated study and practice, Gen Kelsang Dema has earned recognition for her deep understanding of Buddhist teachings and her ability to convey these teachings with clarity and compassion. Over the years she has touched the hearts of thousands of people, inspiring them to integrate Buddha’s teachings into their modern daily lives. Her teachings are characterized by their clarity, depth, and relevance to contemporary life.
Each class consists of guided meditations, a talk and discussion. They last about an hour and a half. The classes are suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced meditators. Each class is self contained, though you are welcome to attend the whole course. They provide an ideal introduction to meditation and Buddhism, teaching effective and practical methods for overcoming problems and increasing happiness in daily life.
